Biography
Edward was born in 1806. He was the son of James De Vismes and Elizabeth Bearcroft. He was baptised in Newent on 10th September and his birthdate was noted. His father was an 'Esq'. [1]
Edward is noted as being in the Army - the 83rd Regiment of Foot, from 30th April 1827 and as a Lieutenant in the same regiment from 8th June 1830. He retired on 22nd August 1831. [2]
On 28 August 1842 Edward married Elizabeth Halford in St Helier, Jersey. He was aged 37. His occupation was 'Gentleman'. [3]
In 1851 Edward was mentioned in the Will of his brother Andrew. He was living in St Savarin, Brittany. [4]
Edward died aged 74 in 1880. His death was registered in Cheltenham. [5]
